FCM Arrives in Finland

20th January 2017

FCM Travel Solutions has made its debut in Finland’s business travel sector after finalising an acquisition agreement with Travellink Corporate at the end of last year. The merger expands FCM’s footprint in Europe significantly as it not only includes Travellink Corporate’s operations in Finland, but also Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany.

The new FCM team in Finland chose to announce their official launch in the Finnish market at Makta Nordic Travel Fair, the largest travel industry event in Northern Europe, which took place in Helsinki from 19-22 January.

The event gave the team an ideal arena to connect with travel industry buyers, suppliers and decision makers, as well as introduce FCM’s bespoke travel management services and specialist group travel division to local, national and multinational clients.

“Makta Nordic Travel Fair gave us an excellent platform to announce FCM’s arrival in the Finnish market since concluding the acquisition of Travellink Corporate in December last year,” commented Bodil Månsson, Managing Director Nordics. “As the flagship corporate travel division of Flight Centre Travel Group, FCM operates in more than 90 countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas. We wanted to strengthen our presence and operations in Northern Europe with a player that has a reputation for superb service.

“Travellink Corporate is a leading online travel provider at the forefront of providing clients with advanced technology to book business travel. Together FCM and Travellink Corporate combine the best technologies, skills and cultures to give corporate clients in Finland competitive business travel services and spearhead remarkable growth in this region,” Marcus Eklund concluded.
